FREE SWIMMING

Over 60?
If you have a Freedom Pass, this will allow you access to free swimming in particpating pools. To gain entry, just show your Freedom Pass at reception to swim for free during any Public Swimming session. If you do not have a Freedom Pass the proof of age may be required. Terms and conditions of free swimming
- Free swimming is only available in participating boroughs. (£1 online registration fee applies)
- Free swimming is available at designated times.

- These times are indicated as Public Swimming sessions on our full pool programmes.
- £1 administration charge for all customers 16 years and under (includes 17 year olds in Hackney) applying for a free swim membership card. This payment is required to validate your free swim account and must be paid on your first visit to your Leisure Centre.
- Proof of identity and/or age is required for children aged 8-16 years of age on their first visit.
- A replacement fee of up to £5 will be charged for lost or damaged cards.
- Centre and pool swim safely rules apply.
- Access may be denied if any of the Terms and Conditions are not adhered to.
Do not forget your locker money.
Lockers are either 20p coin retain or £1 coin return depending upon the Centre you visit.

Service Update
Due to the Government withdrawing its funding to Councils for the Swim4Life free swimming programme (16 and under and over 60s), the Government scheme will cease on 31 July 2010. Some Councils are choosing to continue to fund free swimming in their areas. Please visit the Borough page to see if the scheme is continuing.
